Although the non-profit Orleans Citizens Forum (OCF) was started in 1997 as a political watchdog group, it has since matured into today’s public-interest organization examining critical topics objectively.
OCF searches for issues that are of current interest and importance to Orleans citizens as well as other Cape Cod communities.
Not afraid to tackle controversial issues, our all volunteer Board of Directors agrees on a topic of current interest. We then work together to find panelists on both sides of an issue, and enlist a neutral moderator so that we can provide the depth and balance that is critical to our understanding of the issue at hand.

Why a Membership?
Member-only Events —
Even though the six to eight programs put on by the Orleans Citizens Forum each year are free, membership provides many additional benefits. As an OCF Member you also receive newsletters and email blasts of upcoming forums and special members-only events. Members-only are invited to the Annual Meeting. We video record most of our forums and members are notified when they are available and how to access them.
Reference Materials and Resources —
Past forums have included Candidates Nights, Village Center planning meetings, health-related forums (tick- borne diseases) and educational awareness issues in our community. Our website and eBlasts provide members with access to a host of resources on many of these important topics — resources that can serve as valuable documentation and on-going reference materials.
OCF depends on Membership Dues and Contributions —
OCF relies on our members’ dues and contributions to fund all our programs and communications media, ensuring that serving members and the wider community continues as our top priority. We encourage our members to contribute their ideas on how OCF can better meet your informational needs by contacting us at [email protected].
