Special Town Meeting Warrant Articles

In advance of the Orleans Special Town Meeting on October 29th, Orleans Citizens Forum is holding two free public forum sessions on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
The two sessions will review and explain Warrant articles addressing:
Nauset Public Beach restoration
Wastewater betterment options to pay for sewer connections
Proposed bylaws pertaining to marijuana retail and cultivation
The forum, which will cover the same topics in both sessions, will be offered from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Orleans Senior Center (150 Rock Harbor Road).
The panel of experts will consist of:
- Lynn Bruneau — Finance Committee Chair
- Tom Daley — Director, Public Works & Natural Resources
- Alan McClennen — Board of Selectmen
- George Meservey — Director of Planning
“This is an important opportunity to get information and ask questions on these three critical issues,” noted George Walsh, chair of the Forum. “We urge everyone to attend one of the October 25th forums, as well as the Special Town Meeting on October 29th.” The panel discussion will be moderated by Barry Alper.
The Orleans Citizens Forum is an all-volunteer, independent and non-partisan organization that provides public forums on topics important to the quality of life.
