Orleans Citizens Forum, February 28th, 2022
Research indicates Orleans is a location and economy that will continue to be impacted by developing sea level, temperature, and weather patterns. How is the Town of Orleans responding and preparing, and what can individuals do to deal with the challenge?
This was the first of two Citizens’ Forums addressing these questions.
This forum reviewed what research indicates for Orleans’ future, as well as what the Town of Orleans is and will be doing to prepare. The a follow-up forum gives Orleans citizens an overview of programs that exist to help property owners adapt homes and buildings for climate change with energy efficiency and renewable power adaptations
Speakers for the February 28th forum:
Richard Delaney, President of the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative
Steve Tupper, Deputy Director of the Cape Cod Commission
Kevin Galligan, Orleans Select Board member
Susan Chandler, Chair of the Orleans Energy and Climate Action Committee
Due to technical difficulties, the presentation video freezes for 3½ minutes at the start of Richard’s presentation. You can see Richard’s first few slides by clicking on the images below. The video picks up with the hockey stick.
