Renovation and modernization of Nauset High School is currently estimated at $132 million. The towns of Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet will each be asked to proportionately share the project’s cost not reimbursed by the State. Orleans’s share is estimated at just under $19 million. This is the largest educational project the region has ever undertaken and the second largest capital project in the history of Orleans. Orleans Citizens Forum is sponsoring a forum on January 16 to help us understand the objectives and challenges of this big undertaking.
- Why do we need to replace or renovate the high school?
- How much will this cost?
- Who is going to pay for it?
- How many Towns will this project involve?
- How long will it take?
- Where will the kids go to school while this project is going on?
- What are the major benefits?
Come to the forum to get answers to these questions and ask your own questions.
