The January and February Stop the Bleed classes offered by The Orleans Citizens Forum and the Orleans Fire and Rescue Department have brought the number of trained citizens to over 310 in our first 12 classes. Classes were held in the Orleans Police Department’s Community Room.
Newly appointed Fire Chief Geof Deering introduced the February program. Leslie Vasconcellos presented an orientation program on the Stop the Bleed program followed by hands-on training conducted by EMT/Paramedics Steve Thomas, Ben Nickerson, Melissa Clayton, Aaron Burns, Kyle DeFrancesco and Greg Baker.
Our Tuesday March 24 class has only 5 seats remaining as of March 1. This class will be held at the Orleans Police Department from 3:30 – 5:30 PM. Registration information is located at the bottom of this page and on the Orleans Citizens Forum website.

Following is our current class schedule with available openings in each class. Due to the hands-on nature of the program, class size is limited to 22 registrants. Our future training programs will be posted on our website as soon as schedules are finalized.
