The Arts and Creative Economy: Understanding its Value to Orleans
Thursday, June 11, 2026 5:00 pm– 7:00 pm
Lower Cape TV – 5 Namskaket Rd, Orleans, MA
The strength of the Orleans economy depends on local businesses. As a retail hub for the lower Cape that is driven by both local and out of town shoppers, the creative arts is one of the levers that brings visitors to town. This is not unique to Orleans. In fact, cities across the country have benefitted from unearthing and highlighting the importance of the broad arts community to their economic well-being.
At this Forum, Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research at Americans for the Arts, will bring his decades of experience detailing the economic impact of the arts to Orleans. In addition, works of local artists will be showcased and music will be provided by Fred Fried to celebrate the contributions of the local creative economy.
The OCF will have its annual meeting as part of the evening.
Join us for a reception following the presentation.
